Re: Does your mom know you carry?
Yes, regrettably. I didn't tell her because I know she can't keep a secret. The 1st time she saw me with a butt pack, it was '20 questions' and she wouldn't quit without seeing the butt pack up close. She doesn't like butt packs because only 'certain people' that she doesn't like wear them. This was...

Re: Kahr CM9
I bought a CM9 as an upgrade from a Kel-Tec P11. The CM9 has a very nice trigger. I just completed the suggested 200 rd break in. I had one failure to feed early on. I had my wife run a few rounds through it last time we went to the range. Her first six rounds at 25 ft. made one rectangular hole tha...

Well, if they aren't prepared to defend themselves they probably don't have food or water stored either. I'm not giving them the means to be able to shoot me so they can take MY food and water. I get the "we're coming to your house" too. I tell them: you are welcome if you bring along enou...

Re: Old farm tractor + turbocharged Volvo motor....
Thanks, TAM!
I'm going out to look at my old IH right now and see if a Volvo motor will fit!
That reminded me of the Altered class of dragsters they ran back in the 60s, short, stubby wild ride.
I think I'm gonna waste some time looking for videos now.
Regards, OE

Re: Sig P239 SAS vs P938
Hi,
My wife has a Sig P239/40. It's a big heavy gun compared to many of the new polymer frame guns.
You said you have a Kahr K9, have you looked at a Kahr CM9? It's a small gun with a short butt.
I just bought one to replace my Kel-Tec P11.
Regards, OE

US Navy, AIMD Rota Spain, 70, 71, 72. I was an E5 and I couldn't spend all my money between pay days. I lived in an apartment off base and we had a maid to clean up and do the laundry. Wine, from the bodega, down the street was 7 CENTS a liter. We had a jug in a wicker basket that we let float in th...

Re: Concealing a sig p229
Been there, done that. I have a P229/357Sig. I have a Hoffner Hybrid IWB holster for it. I can conceal it without a problem. However, it is real heavy!! I never carry it. I carry something lighter and smaller. Regards, OE PS I almost never shoot 357Sig either, too expensive, I have a Bar-Sto 9mm con...

Re: Wise Food Storage
The Wise 60 meal bucket that is advertised to feed one person for a month, only provides around 600 calories(2 meals) per day. I have them for my emergency supplies. But I'm planning on 1-1/2 buckets (90 meals) per person per month. I haven't tried the food but I'm sure it will be better than grass,...
