WTS: Glock 24 Caspian "open" slide with ported LW Barrel

I have a like new caspian long slide with a ported lone wolf barrel for sale. (.40 cal) It has less than 500 rounds through it. Still has the bronze grease lube on the slide. I got it to do a build for USPSA but went different direction - 9mm major. Shoots great! Nice tight fit no slop. I will ship ...

Re: "Off Limits" locations for CHL's

So I understand the 30.06 signs but what about the sign I saw today on all of the doors of the san Antonio city planning & development offices that stated no guns violative will be prosecuted for criminal trespassing?

Re: 9mm Major?

Yes you can make a 9mm major round. It is legal in USPSA since the floor for major is now 165pf. This was changed a few years ago. I shoot 9mm major out of my G17 glockenstein in open division. I would suggest searching the forums at : http://www.brianenos.com/forums & work up a load keeping an ...

Re: San Antonio ranges

You may want to check out Blackhawk in SW Bexar County... http://www.blackhawkrange.com/ If you are just getting into pistol shooting and intend on getting your CHL check out the IDPA club there. It is a great way to improve your gun handling skills instead of standing and shooting holes in paper. T...

Re: Chambering a Round

Don't forget... since this is your first auto ... when you chamber a round do it 1 of 2 ways: 1. Lock the slide back, put mag in & hit the slide release 2. Insert mag, grab back of slide pull it all the way back and LET GO Do not follow the slide forward or 'ease' it forward. This may lead to im...

Re: strange incident in church yesterday

When I lived in SA, I had the pleasure of serving on our security team for the church. We would deal with "visitors" like that every once in a while. You would be surprised how many people are oblivious of their surroundings when in a "safe" place! The church I attended was a bit...

Re: reloads failing to feed

FWIW - I have found that using the "U" die from EGW has eliminated all FTF's with all of my loads. It is a Lee die that is undersized slightly. The biggest key is to have all of the stages on your press set up correctly. The flare from the powder die should be taken out at the crimp statio...

+1 on SRVA's response... Go to a match w/ the intention of "watching" but make sure you take your pistol, belt, holster, 3 mags, mag pouches, 150 rounds of ammo, sun screen, water, ear&eye protection... Now when you get there to "watch" go to the sign up spot & tell the p...

OSHA - doesn't apply to you? think again!

This is some really scary stuff - check this out & if you enjoy shooting/reloading please act!!! It only takes a few minutes... don't rely on others to keep your sport accessible.
