I found a place called Workmans Clothing Shop or something like that just ordered three different types of suspenders. Two use different types of fasteners and the other is a set of Perry Susepnders. I believe one with the fasteners is designed to be worn without a belt. But I'm going to give these a shot and see what I like.

Suspenders
Hey all. Quickie question... Over the weekend, I noticed a gentleman with a pair of suspenders that looked quite functional. The rear portion did not clip to the belt, instead, there was plastic piece with an opening to slide the belt through. The front portion did appear to snap/fasten to the pants. I was going to approach the guy and ask him where he got them, but it was in a sea of people...and the Army/Navy store was closed yesterday so couldn't check there.
So I'd thought I'd ask while I wait to continue my search...is anyone familiar with these suspenders and/or know where I can obtain them? Or even what the 'style' is referred to as and I'll search the net. Thanks!!
