Return to “Disparity of force (Motorcycle Gang Incident in New York)”
Ive read that these gangs single out high end vehicles with a family in them and use the brake check or just roll back into the vehicle to cause a bump then surround the car and demand money. This is highway robbery through fear and intimidation.Charles L. Cotton wrote:The NYC PD reports that this gang of bikers have a history of taking over roadways in mass and intimidating people. They surround vehicles, then hit their brakes much like "swoop and squad" tactics used in major Texas cities to set up civil lawsuits. Apparently, these NY bikers aren't interested in a lawsuit, but want an excuse to damage vehicles and/or commit assaults. This isn't the first time this has happened.
Police investigation to this point indicated the assault victim was not at fault in an fashion and was not an instigator. He didn't run over anyone until he and his family were threatened and even the NYC PD is supporting the victim's position. Apparently, the victim didn't have the option to avoid anything, he was driving along and found himself surrounded.

I have ridden bikes all my life and I wouldn't have continued to chase that guy like that but either way if I was the range rover guy I wouldn't have been running people over just to get my point across. Really this is road rage at it's finest (if you could call it that).
Ron White said it best "I didn't know how many of them it was going to take to beat my butt, but I knew how many they were going to use! That's a handy piece of information to have."
It's one of those situations where you cut your loses and move on. A piece of mirrored glass is hardly worth rear ending people and running over motorcycles and perhaps people as well.
