Yes it is. You get recognition for it on your license as "Veteran" under where it says Concealed Handgun License. Thank you for your service brother and happy carrying!
but I did some checking and TX HB 572 never made it to a vote. I would like to hear from anyone that already has their CHL with the veteran designation on it, please. I'm not calling anyone liars on here, just maybe mis-informed. I appoligize in advance if I am wrong. I'm just the kind that needs proof and not what someone heard. Thanks!

Unless something has changed since April, you can get "Veteran" on your TX driver's license, but NOT on your CHL, because I renewed both back in April and that's the way it was then.
