I recently purchased an XD 40 service model (4" barrel) to replace a Ruger P90 as my daily carry gun. I took it to the range last weekend and ran 500 rounds thru it and very impressed at the accuracy. My father has an XD 40 tactical (5 in barrel) and it’s a great gun too. I don’t have any experience with the Para so I can’t help you there but I definitely recommend the XD. Hope this helps. (the only reason I didn't get the .45 was because of ammo prices)
