You can google ' anti gun Dallas Bishop' and get plenty. I see he is an Obamanite from DC. We need a good Texas Bishop

At Mass yesterday, I noticed the Dallas bishops campaign has started, again; I bet contributions are down. Another note, I read on A Blog For Dallas Area Catholics, that a pet- ion has been started to send to the bishop; I'm hoping and praying it helps

Since the Pastor has control of his parish, I wonder if he can allow you to CC if he wants? Just wondering.

We were told that the signs were on order and that notice would be printed in the Sunday bulletin around the time they are put up. I'm praying that the Chancery gets A Lot of feed back before this happens. That is, negative feed back.

Honestly I don't know; I have me Bishops and Priests that were ' farm ' raised! I'm a Vatican 2 Catholic, and I am learning that the Church is like the government; you have far left, far right and in the middle!

Honestly I'm not sure, but I think the ownership runs deeper than the Bishop.

I'm sure he would not disobey. I mean does he ,as the authority on the property, have the legal right if he chooses.

I would be curious if the Pastor can give permission for a person to carry past the sign? The diocese would order the signs put up, but the Pastor is the supreme authority on the property.

Please be aware of the attached diocesan policy on Concealed Handgun and Open Carry restrictions; the new diocesan Weapons Policy is effective January 2016. The policy in essence prohibits open carry or concealed weapons on church premises as long as signage is posted communicating that open and concealed weapons are prohibited anywhere on church property. We will see this new signage within the next few weeks at which time we will post notice in our church bulletin.
