Mailed all required docs around Feb 22,2012 received plastic in hand April 18, 2013. So overall about 55 days total.

My understanding from the states website is that you have a year to submit all your paperwork to get your CHL. So if you take the course I believe it's good for a year. I'm sure those with more experience will correct me if I'm wrong.
