I use desiccant packs that I made myself. A tip: those all-crystal cat litters... just silica gel. You save yourself tons of money by buying one of those little bins of the stuff and making desiccant packs yourself. I simply got shop towels (those blue towels for working on cars and stuff), cut 2 pieces the size I want, and staple 3 sides. Fill with the crystals, staple the last side shut, and wa-la! Desiccant packs in whatever size/quantity you want.

I first did this when my living situation warranted that I keep my guns locked up in my van. I had a lockbox that I had built myself, and found that my rifles had some rust in the bore after a couple of weeks of sitting out there. After I made some desiccant packs to put in the lockbox, I never had an issue again. I keep them in my ammo boxes and gun cases.
