Are these people unaware of how stupid they sound? Carrying a knife (particularly something as small as the little Swiss Army Knife) puts yourselves and others at risk? REALLY? I can't imagine not carrying a knife. It's a great tool. If I didn't have one, I'd waste a whole lot of time trying to cut things with scissors, once I found them. Do they have some sort of spontaneously exploding knives over there? That's the only way I can think of that the mere presence of a pocket knife would put people at risk.
