Re: Camping & Glamping

Don't let these guys turn you away from a pop-up. Have used ours a ton and have great times. The newer ones have electric roof lifts. Yeah it takes a bit to setup but I have all the amenities the big boys have. We even tote around my Dish Network Tailgater/ 32" flat screen. Never had an issue w...

Re: carry at jelly stone park?

We frequent Jellystone parks. They are privately owned. No signs that I have seen. They do have a policies form you are required to sign at check-in which states no guns on property. We are generally in bathing suits all weekend anyway so I just leave in the lock box in my vehicle while in the park.

Re: Summer carry xds

I don't work on a farm but I have a couple of choices for mine that both work well. T-shirts are never a problem.

Re: No CHL! How to avoid problems?

I would be amiss if I didn't warn you about the Federal Gun Free School Zone act. Basically, without a CHL it is unlawful to posses a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school. Homes are excepted. Hope that offers some insight for you.... Main reason I finally got mine last year. I carried in my vehicl...

Re: Pulled over by Leo's wife...

chane, What (other than her being potentially insane) do you think prompted her irrational behavior? I have no idea. I thought about it after and questioned myself why did I even pull over. Getting out prompted her to pull over also. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she treats everyone with th...

Re: Pulled over by Leo's wife...

I just dropped it because I don't want any issues if I run into the lady at school. The only pictures she may have would show her driving while taking them in a school zone and me behind a bus the whole way. I'm sure the bus has tracking info on board showing its speed if it went that far. My truck ...

Pulled over by Leo's wife...

I don't post much but I was reading the " i drew my weapon tonight " thread and thought of a similar road rage incident that happened to me recently.. I didn't want to hi-jack his thread so here is my story: It was a typical Friday afternoon and I waited in the car line and pick up my kidd...

Re: Calling all CHLs who are also RVers

I'll agree that Inks SP is one of the best. We take the kids there almost any weekend we can during the summer. There and a couple of Jellystone parks we frequent as well when Inks is full. Love the Hill Country. Been to Guadalupe River SP and South Llano River SP a few times. The kids will have gre...

Re: San Antonio this weekend

Just sit outside and do not enter the building. Just like a indoor Bar/Grill/Restaurant, just stay out of the bar area. :thumbs2: Wait, huh? I goto restaurants all the time and usually find a booth or table in the "bar area" rather than waiting on the list to be seated. Am I misunderstand...

Re:

nothing more than an untucked polo shirt or t-shirt. :iagree: x2 and no one has given me a second look. Its too dang hot to wear a cover shirt. My shirts are generally loose so my wardrobe has not changed. I only worry when its windy out and might keep a hand in my front pocket to keep my shirt fro...
