Re: Convince me that constitutional carry is a good thing

I didn't read the entire thread but my simpleton take on the whole thing is this. Just because someone took a class for something doesn't make them more competent on the subject. I know some complete imbeciles with 4 year degrees from good schools and I'm sure some of you know some dummies who have...

Re: Dallas Zoo’s gun ban found to be legal by Texas AG

This is very discouraging. I im not afraid of the monkies attacking i mainly carry for the parking lot adventure. A few months ago a terrorist was arested in houston, he was planning to blow up the galeria. Now, i would think that in a large public place that more people that could stop a guy with ...

Re: Merle Haggard dead

Absolute bummer to hear of this. Listening to his music, along with a lot of the other country greats, growing up I was very familiar with Merle and loved his music. I was lucky enough to see him play in Dallas this past November and he sounded great. It's impossible for me to hear a Merle, George J...

Re: LTC Popularity

My take is that the passage of open carry, plus the sharpened political climate which seems to require making known your political stance (which carrying certainly does) , has opened up the discussion much. Forgive my ignorance, but how in the world does carrying a firearm align one with a politica...

FS: THE COLONY: HK 9mm USPc/p2000 10 round magazine

I have one used but in really good shape HK USP Compact 9mm or P2000 10 round magazine. It has the rounded, extended floor plate. I'd rather not ship but if I do buyer pays full cost of shipping. Re: Introduce yourself

I've been around for a few years and I very rarely contribute and haven't done the formal introduction yet...so here it goes. I grew up a non-shooter. Family never had guns around, parents were just indifferent to firearms not against them. I reckon it would have just been another hobby my pops didn...

Re: When Bad Holsters Turn Worse

I carry IWB most days with a leather/kydex holster, but I do keep a soft nylon holster around for 2 reasons: 1 - Long road trips. I put the XD in the soft holster, which then goes into the door pocket so I don't end up sitting with a pistol grip wedged between my back and the seat for a few hours. ...

Re: Range membership advice

I think it's funny you assume I am a hair away from shooting someone when I say I am confrontational. No wonder people might hesitate to ask a question on this site. Sheesh! I thought the same thing. Some people have a negative connotation with that word. I took your use of being confrontational in...

Re: potential situation avoided

I use Paige Road to get home to avoid the construction and traffic on 423 any time I can. I actually live on the West side of 423 and N Colony, so I'm going out of my way a bit by going through that intersection but it still saves me time from the traffic and whatnot. You could try Standridge-Memor...
