Absolute bummer to hear of this. Listening to his music, along with a lot of the other country greats, growing up I was very familiar with Merle and loved his music. I was lucky enough to see him play in Dallas this past November and he sounded great. It's impossible for me to hear a Merle, George Jones, Waylon or Johnny Cash song without thinking about my pops.
