) he carried around the house while waiting on it to arrive. My grandson was about 6 years old at the time and had even gone shooting with us out on the family property from time to time. He had gun safety taught to him probably from the time he could walk. He also knew that I carried a gun as well. Anyway, one day I was at their house helping my son work on his classic car when we heard my grandson and another boy yelling at each other. We went to the open garage door and looked out and the 2 boys were arguing over a baseball glove. About that time my grandson saw us in the door and yelled at the top of his lungs "Daddy, he won't give me back my glove. Shoot him. Just take out your gun and shoot him".
Needless to say, we both had a very long talk with him that continued until he was about 12.
