I had went ahead and got a Stag from the local gun dealer. It cost $105.00 shipped. Only thing is I had to wait about 2 weeks. It did't matter. Now I have to save for the rest of it. It might be awhile with Christmas, wifes birthday and our 30th wedding aniversary all in December.

That's what I'm planning on doing is getting a kit for my first one. The next will probably be individual parts. I just have to decide on 16 or 20 inch barrel. Pretty much decided on rail type top receiver.

I knew about the 0% forgings but not the 80%. Looks like the natural progression of building.

I am thinking about building my own AR15. I have been looking at parts on the internet and have pretty much decided what I want to build. But the lower receivers I have looked at are from very low priced to very expensive. Does anybody have any recommendatios for a particular seller or brand. I already have a guy with an FFL that will let me have it shipped to him so thats not a problem. I just want to make sure I get a good quality receiver but not pay an arm and a leg for it. I realize that I may have to settle for one or the other.
