Well, how do you lower the hammer down? You would have to do it after racking the slide and now you have a round in the chamber. This seems to me to be a very unsafe practice. I realize the firing pin is not exposed and does not touch primer, but why would you want to do this? I just rely on the thumb safety and the grip safety.
