Re: HB 910 Conference Committee
based upon some many of the open carry videos I've watch I have to agree with Dutton. A lot of police don't know the law (the 4th amendment) when applying it in such an unusual interaction.

Re: HB 910 Conference Committee
If you're pulled over in your car you are required to show both drivers end CHL when he asks. Im thinking they'll carry that to OC in public. Myself, if an officer asks me if I have a CHL my response will "yes I do. I'm quite proud of it. Would you let me to see it?" Since it be a consensual stop and if he says "yes" I'm going to strike up a coversation also and show him pictures of my family and my dogs because I'm proud of them, too. I can feel filibuster...

Re: HB 910 Conference Committee
Huffman couldn't remove Dutton on her own. hmm since were into speculating I wonder if Huffines voted to remove Duttonjuno106 wrote:...or
Huffman could have left in the Dutton amendment, there would have been no need for the Huffines amendment, and HB910 would have gone straight to the Gov instead of House concurrence.
Hate seeing Huffines being blamed for Huffman's blunder...

Meantime, a House-Senate conference committee made short work of House Bill 910, which allows those with a concealed handgun license to openly carry a firearm in a shoulder or belt holster.
The bill will return to both houses with a major sticking point removed — an amendment, added by Sen. Don Huffines, R-Dallas, that barred law enforcement from detaining or questioning those with a holstered gun solely to check for a concealed handgun license.
“I’m disappointed,” Huffines said. “But I’m going to go along with the will of the body.”
The open carry bill could be voted on Friday in both houses.

Re: HB 910 Conference Committee
My speculation. If Huffines personally reworded the amendment it is a was to get his fingerprints on it with Dutton. He had groups like OCT texting/tweeting him to not back down, so freshman Hutfines drug the debate for more than for 6 hours believing he was racking up please political capital with his constituents.
