I wish that had some impact. My last name is only used by 6 people in this state right now (8 when my brothers are back in town).SJRTX wrote:Mine only took about 45 days. My name is not very common though. I think that might have some impact.

Not here. Lived in the same house for 7 years previous, and in the same general area since 1985 - my parents still live in that house.dolanp wrote:I wonder if some people take longer because the DPS has to do more research. Those that have had theirs take awhile: Did you move a lot? Did you have any arrests from years ago that may have had to be checked out?
No arrests. Not even any traffic tickets.
I was in the Air Force, got out in 1996, but that shouldn't require extra research.
I know (based on a phone conversation) that they didn't even START my application until about day 90. It wasn't until I called that my application got moved to the front of the line and began processing.

Mine took quite a bit longer than that, and no errors on the app either. But the point is that while it IS worth the wait, it isn't supposed to happen. The squeaky wheel thing...HighVelocity wrote:Yes it's slow but worth the wait. Mine took over 80 days.
This DOES need to be fixed, but threats aren't the way to do it. Call your rep and complain - especially if they are proCCW. Or just call Suzana Hupp.
