If so, rather wussy for the future president? Harkens back to GWB saying he would sign the AWB and winking that it wouldn't get to him, so he could dodge that bullet/

Just curious, has anyone from the TSRA or NRA actually had a word with Perry on the issue? And why he decided not fight for campus carry?

That will be great and certainly a meaningful victory as it affects lots of folks. I take it that it will allow guns in cars even at the public and private universities.

Does that cover residential students? That would be an unintended consequence - guns in cars- for those opposed to campus gunnery. There are a fair number of car break-ins on college campuses, so they increased a risk factor as compared to campus carry bill.

So is there a realistic chance that this gets into law. After the celebratory hoopla after the campus carry Senate action - which came to naught - what's really up with this.

I note the deafening silence from Gov. Hairdo.

We are a pro-business state - as they have the cash. What a surprise.
