Re: State Fair

My wife, daughter and I went to the fair on Monday. I had my CHL in my hand and was ready to show it but didn't need to. They wanded me and it went off but I don't think they heard it. Walked right in...so much for security.

Went yesterday am. Walked up to the gate pulling my 2yr old in a wagon and was not asked anything nor wanded. The security guard waved me right on through after looking in my cooler. I saw multiple people getting through without being wanded which means all the more reason to carry.

To clarify. It was not a Dart officer. It was a armed Security guard and she had a patch on her arm but it was on the opposite side from where I was sitting so I could not read it. Anytime you can hear the music from the headphones and they are mouthing the words to the music you know they are not p...

Situational Awareness..NOT

Could not believe my eyes this morning when I was riding the DART rail to work. I saw a uniform Security woman get on the train with an old rusty .38 on her hip in an Uncle Mike’s holster. I could see the barrel sticking out the bottom of holster and it was completely rusted. She was sitting in an...

DART - Dallas Area Rapid Transit. City owned and carrying is no problem. It would be wise to carry alot of crackheads like the airconditioned ride.

I have bought at the Wylie Walmart and they didn't ask for any information from me. The biggest problem I have had is finding someone who works behind the counter.

Saw that on their website also. I don't think they want folks running around waving sharp swords at folks. This is the same reason I would like to carry. I have a fellow coworker who participates in this and he his what I consider living on the outer edge of reality. Their weapons policy woul...

Scarborough Fair Posted?

Have some family coming for a visit in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know if Scarborough Fair is posted with the proper 30.06 signs. We haven't been there in about 15 years.

Thanks,

Sorry, I was not trying to hijack this thread my point was that a person without a CHL could legally carry a "loaded & concealed" handgun places now that someone with a CHL could not. If you lived in the Plano school district and were dropping your child off at school which have 30.06 ...

Here is what seems strange to me. My employer has valid 30.06 signs at every entrance of the parking lots. With a valid CHL I cannot enter the parking lot and leave my gun locked up in my car but someone who does not have a CHL can leave their gun locked up in the car. In otherwords these signs at p...

Received mine in Jan. They signed for it Nov 18th (certified mail) and I received it Jan 18th. That is 62 days or 38 business days. I had Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in there too.
