[/quote]Did you send proof of citizenship along with your app? I was born in the Philippines (Air Force brat), and was advised to send a copy of my Certificate of Birth Abroad. I hope you were too, as I've seen 3 cases in these forums of people in similar situations getting their application process delayed because they didn't provide proof of citizenship.

Yes I Did along with a copy of my passport and a copy of an airport ID that I had for Dulles airport [also FBI background check]But thanks anyway

Well I to was born in a strange place,in the city of Karachi country of Pakistan
"oil field trash" my dad was a driller.Could be why I'm still waiting for my chl
even though I did my prints at the DPS and had the background check in hand when I hand delivered the App on Jan 12 2007. Still procesing?
