Re: ANOTHER METHOD TO FIGHT 30.06 SIGNS WHEREVER YOU SEE THE
***General thoughts*** I think educating people is the best way to go. Realistically the CHL population is about what, 2% of the population? Technically, that statement is true. However, these are the 2% who have quite a bit of disposable income. The amount of money we spend on good weapons, ammo, ...

I agree. I will remove it from my leaflet.Purplehood wrote:I liked the OP's version with the exception of the very last line on the very bottom. I would leave that off.

Any type of such notice will do its job. We need a coordinated and massive effort to start winning some of the smaller battles before we undertake bigger ones...

Re: Red McCombs Toyota on I-10 now has a "sort of" valid 30.
I think sometime customers just need to squawk enough and bring it to the owners attention. Toyota may install all that signage as a matter of course when they build the dealerships. I am addressing the "squawking" issue right here: http://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=71720&q...

Re: ANOTHER METHOD TO FIGHT 30.06 SIGNS WHEREVER YOU SEE THE
Not sure #4 applies to most CHLs. Maybe not, but it can be modified by the user. Most of the responsible CHL holders have had many hours of training and are continuing their training. And the responsible gun owners would be the ones most likely to be proactive in the 2A defense — utilizing this met...

Re: Red McCombs Toyota on I-10 now has a "sort of" valid 30.
It is not valid so I would ignore it. :fire I agree, and I did ignore it, but it really frustrated me on principle. A major dealership in the heart of Texas, albeit in a very liberal city, puts up a 30.06 on every single entrance. I disagree gun free zones anywhere, and the sign in a car dealership...

ANOTHER METHOD TO FIGHT 30.06 SIGNS WHEREVER YOU SEE THEM
1656395_10201773566410307_579720184_n.jpg I found this card online. I suggest that all of us, Pro2A men and women, make a concerted effort to print letters like this and start putting them in the suggestion boxes, handing them to managers and/or mailing them to every business with 30.06 signs. We c...

Re: REPLY FROM TOYOTA HEADQUARTERS
I'm curious how a Japanese company's executive offices in California responded to your complaint about a dealership not allowing you to carry a gun. Me too. I have worked for two Japanese companies so I am curious how they would respond to your call. I haven't decided what to tell them yet. It will...

Re: REPLY FROM TOYOTA HEADQUARTERS
Aren't these independently owned dealerships? I don't see how sending it to the US headquarters (especially in Cali) is going to be effective. Although they are independently owned, I am sure that Toyota Corporation is interested in making more sales through the dealership. They may not be able to ...

REPLY FROM TOYOTA HEADQUARTERS
Here is the reply I received to my email. I addressed it to Toyota Headquarters, since there is absolutely no info on how to contact Red McCombs corporation, other than phone numbers. And I thought talking to people, who answer phones, would be a waste. Hello..., Thank you for your email addressed t...

Re: Red McCombs Toyota on I-10 now has a "sort of" valid 30.
I would modify JImlongley's comments a bit: Instead of point out it is not valid, I would card them and say simply, "I have purchased 3 vehicles in 6 years here, and now with this sign, my business is going elsewhere" I would NOT let them know their sign is [possibly] invalid however. Tha...

Re: Red McCombs Toyota on I-10 now has a "sort of" valid 30.
I would card them and point out that their signage is not valid, and that if they want to be valid, it will have to be large and ugly and prominently posted, otherwise they are not stopping anyone from carrying. I didn't want to point that fact out, because it will make it yet one more place to kee...

Red McCombs Toyota on I-10 now has a "sort of" valid 30.06
I have been Red McCombs Toyota customer for years. I bought 3 cars from them in the last 6 years alone, and today, when I went to buy yet another car, I was directed to the 30.06. It was NOT posted conspicuously, it was just a printed sheet of paper, taped to a window and with the lettering that was...

Re: Urgent: XDs recall...
"Guiding the slide" is improper operation. The gun is designed to work properly when the slide is fully retracted and let go to chamber the round under full recoil spring return action. I am aware of that. I was doing it initially, when I first bought the gun, simply to test it before I t...
