Re: "Waiting Room"
Mine updated to "mailed" overnight last night so now I'll be checking the post office informed delivery every day lol. Being an ex cop, no wally walk for me since I'm used to carrying everywhere. I'll just be going back to what feels normal. I just have to remember those silly signs apply to me now lol

Re: "Waiting Room"
Did yours just change to print pending this morning? Mine updated overnight (I've been checking it multiple times per day and it hadn't updated when I went to bed last night)Onefatwhale wrote:

Re: "Waiting Room"
I never received any court paperwork when it happened. I honestly didn't think much of it since I became a police officer without it being an issueOdinvalknir wrote:
I have a couple misdemeanors on my record, and I sent in my court paperwork along with my application. Never got any letter, my background cleared this morning/late last night sometime. Submitted 4/13

Re: "Waiting Room"
Yeah I had a hunch what I needed before I received the letter so I requested it preemptively. Actually got it in my email a couple hours before the letter showed in the mail.Allons wrote:
I read somewhere on here were people were asked for more information, and when they provided it it was not long after. If you all ready provided it you should be good.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Update...
the hiccup was my false arrest in 2003 which the case was dismissed, but I received no paperwork. Contacted the county courts where it happened and received a copy of the paperwork alot faster than I anticipated. Disposition submitted to dps... Now its the potential 6 month wait for them to review.

Re: "Waiting Room"
I've had one arrest in 2002 I think. In Tennessee. I had a few drinks one night at a concert. Designated driver got pulled over on the way home and they asked me to get out of the vehicle to search me. They found nothing on me but decided since I was out of the vehicle they arrested me for public intoxication. The da later change the charge to a DUI, and as soon as the judge saw it the case was dismissed. But I never got any paperwork or anything from it. I'm trying to contact the courts in Tennessee where it happened to see if I can get something showing that it was dismissed. I did disclose it.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Ugh okay I just spoke with a rep who said they just sent out a request for information related to my background but she couldn't see what it was for. Guess I'll just wait for that to show up in the mail. Tired of potentially being at the mercy of society.
I'm so frustrated I can't see straight. Depending how this turns out, I may have a sig for sale

Re: "Waiting Room"
It's been suggested that my bgc takes longer now because when I left the police department I became a stay at home dad. Apparently they scrutinize those without "jobs" more.

I did move 3 years ago within the same county ... But still. I don't understand the delayssrothstein wrote:
The only guess I have other than that is if you moved a couple times recently. Working or living in more than one county during the time period might slow it down some since they check with each county.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Lucky. My background is still under review approaching 4 weeks now. Ex cop, clean background... But for some reason background checks seem to take forever with me. I waited 8 months for lyft to review my background before I gave up trying to drive for them in my spare time.srothstein wrote:
My license came in the mail today. That makes it less than two weeks from when I got fingerprinted. I am satisfied with that length of time.
