That is part of the reason the system has sped up. They are using your DL pic (residents only). So, you no longer need to send in passport photos.

I sent my app Certified on July 05. Delivered on July 09. As of today, July 19 it still shows that DPS is waiting on the paperwork. :banghead: I sent mine on 6/28.
