Re: Killeen TX: Multiple officers shot serving no knock warr
I think no knock warrants are way over used and I might add are woefully over approved by judges. In this case I'm not sure I see a reason to believe that the shooting was caused by the no knock service. Unless the guy claims he didn't know they were cops, which since he started shooting whole they...

Criminal Propensity (Split from Crime Stats thread)
The only time I've seen such widely spread difference between groups that commit crimes and those that don't is from the Federal Bureau of Prisons Study on Religiosity which found that atheists were among the least likely groups to be in prison by both population and percentage. So basically, an ath...

Re: I hope this Cyclist looking for trouble isn't a CHL
A cyclist on a roadway is exercising his Constitutional rights just as we CHL holders are. It would be nice if narrow aim didn't so often coincide with 'narrow minded'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_movement_under_United_States_law" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As a CHL pedestrian - at what point do you identify to LEO
It's pretty clear that when an LEO approaches your vehicle in a traffic stop that you produce your CHL when asked for drivers license or ID.
What about when you're walking around in any public space that you have a right to be in ?
Thanks in advance.

I found this while looking further - LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE TITLE 7. REGULATION OF LAND USE, STRUCTURES, BUSINESSES, AND RELATED ACTIVITIES SUBTITLE A. MUNICIPAL REGULATORY AUTHORITY CHAPTER 229. MISCELLANEOUS REGULATORY AUTHORITY OF MUNICIPALITIES Sec. 229.001. FIREARMS; EXPLOSIVES. (a) A municipali...

Carrollton Park Sign Prohibiting Guns
Can they do this ? I have a CHL and my wife and I like to walk through these woods on the trails but I have seen that a number of vagrants live in these areas especially during the summer time. I've seen them coming out of the woods on to the roadways surrounding the area and last year one of their ...

A case where art doesn't imitate life.
The artist must have been high on drugs when she dreamed up this one.

I caveated that one needs to check websites as well, laws change but they don't change overnight. It's a slow process.

Good Idea to get this book for traveling with weapons
The Traveler's Gun & Knife Law Book And check good up to the date websites - laws change and change often. There is too much speculation and conjecture for what could be a big problem if you take someone's well meaning forum advice. http://www.collectorbookstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCod...
