Re: 380 and Snubbie Users Poll
Other. As much as I wanted to check #1, I haven't put enough rounds down range lately to qualify. :fire I usually arrive at the range with my P3AT on my hip and just change mags out for practice. Like some others, I really enjoy shooting it. I'll put at least 50-100rds through it each visit. I also ...

Re: The First 48
"The FN is designed for and only useful for killing people." I heard almost those exact words from the CHL instructor I recently did my renewal with. Along with "no one needs to own one." That wasn't the only thing he said that I didn't agree with but, when the guys got to sign y...

Re: What are your movie pet peeves re: guns?
The magical vaporizing bullet. Go ahead, shoot the drink out of his hand. The bullet explodes the bottle but never hits anything behind it. Same trick if you shoot the hangmans rope, streetlamp, the back window of a car...never hits the windshield, wall, house, whatever. Always be sure of your targe...

Re: thoughts: XD45compact vs. Sig Sp2022
I agree. My SP2022 is a joy to shoot and I don't have large hands. SA/DA with a decocker beats a SAO in my book. I just bought a small backstrap for mine . Big plus not having the lanyard loop. That thing hurts. Doesn't look much smaller but we'll see. Also, you can pick up extra 15 round mags from ...

Re: Your worst Gun
Steyr M9 (not A1). Loved it at first, love the trapeziod sites but after about 400 rounds, had a few FRB's, looked closed but couldn't pull the trigger. Slap the back of the slide and keep firing. Then it really got bad, slide would return completely to battery, firing pin indicator showed cocked, t...

Re: Confusing comments by Ft Hood Commander
First-TX CHL rules do not apply on Ft Hood as it is a Federal installation, for anyone that doesn't already know that. -This hunting season there was a change in policy regarding hunters on post; If you have an area access pass and hunting license you did not have to register your hunting firearm on...

Re: Dickies Mutli Use Pocket Pants
I picked up a pair of Dickies carpenter jeans at WM quite a while ago. The extra pockets are indeed great for magazines. Unfortunately, I didn't buy them big enough for an IWB holster. Also, the front pockets are a little small for a pocket carry LCP or P3AT. I did see recently though, WM now carrie...

Re: 7 killed at Ft Hood shooting
Can't believe this happened on one of the only 3 days I was not working there this month. My buddies are still on lockdown as far as I know. Happened about 2 or 3 miles from my office. That unit is going to be a mess for a very long time. My heart goes out to the families of the deceased, the wounde...

Re: Vests
Photo style vests are apparently all the rage in Germany. I think about 1 in every 5 guys over 30 was wearing some variation on the warm days. I actually wear a nylon vest that looks nothing like a tactical or western one. Seems to give better cover but I still like the look of a tac vest better. Wi...

I got an unkle mikes size 10 I believe for my Kel Tec P3AT. works great with jeans and low boots. Make sure you get one with the optional velcro strap that goes above your calf, makes all the difference.

Re: We The People Stimulus Package
Great post. He's so right. We've been complaing about all of his major points for years but have never put up any real fight. So many of our representatives have been failing us for years and getting rich at our expense. This administration is proving to do nothing but make it worse if they get thei...

Re: 6 Guns Confiscated
I've been watching the new england area's changes in laws and policies for a few years now. Having grown up there I am constantly amazed by how liberal the state governments are getting. Massachusettes has always been bad, the gun laws are worse. Lately RI and CT have been folowing suit. It might in...
