Well Texas has the toughest background checks in the Nation, meaning once you get your TX CHL, you can purchase your weapon on the spot with no delays other then being on a wait list for that specific weapon. Where as Florida still has to submit to a background check to purchase a weapon.

Oh another thing your application status won't change until they send out your CHL, so it'll say application received and waiting for checklist items to be received all the way up until they send your CHL out, then you will get status change to CHL is in the mail or something like that
