Well, looks like I've got you beat fellas, unless the mail is really slow. Austin was mercifully quick. Congrats! I may still beat you if they get around to approving mine quickly. I've got the advantage of being a couple of miles from the DPS HQ, so mail transit time is theoretica...

I've lived in CA, IN and TX, and I had to attach a separate sheet for the residence history. Processing for me took less than 30 days.

Got my CHL! Huzzahs all around!

I promised I wouldn't freak out over getting my license finally, but my application got approved, and my license is active according to the website. So much for restraint. Looks like I'm going to Wal-Mart for nachos this weekend. Looks like Austin was pretty quick for me.

No problem, don't let me forget. I am warning you ahead of time, though, the pictures are going to be horrendous.

I seem to recall this bill had something built into it to protect the shooter from civil prosecution so long as the shooting was justified/legal. Did I just make that up, or did this bill that just passed contain something to that effect? Having read what I believe to be the final version, I believ...

I ordered a GunVault Multi in early February of this year. The operation has been flawless, and though I have a couple complaints about it overall I'm generally satisfied. Bummer to hear of this problem. I'll take it apart when I have some spare time and see if it's a new unit. Judging from the cond...

the shooter doesn't get knocked down because he is braced against the recoil. the intended target is not, and therefore would most certainly be knocked down, right? I understand your thing about HollyWood flyin' across the room and what-have-ya. I was just sayin' the BuckShot woulda taken him for a...

All right, I'm gonna go reread it right now. I want to be prepared in case I get a "pop quiz" on this after 9/1 rolls around.

Oh phew it's only six pages. I'm already enjoying this much more than the FEMA flood control regulations I need to know for work.

Got my PIN letter today, dated the 21st. Hey NcongruNt, I took the (first time) class on the 3rd too, though I mailed the app on the 5th. The race is on!

Now I get to think long and hard how I'm going to carry my Stoeger around.
