I couldn't agree more with TAM especially the note regarding Shelby Foote's Civil War. I also cannot count how many times I have witnessed the liberal indoctrination of our nation's youth via the academic venue. It's sickening 
.I too am writing papers - 2 to be exact, 1 for my education class and 1 for my sociology class - on gun rights. With being a non-traditional student (read as having a real world education) I do not fear speaking on any subject in class and I guess the ability to do so intelligently as my professors and I have many constructive discussions. With that I have gained their respect and that is allowing me to take the pro 2A stance for these papers
