Mailed mine and my wife's packet in on September 9th by certified mail
Mine was signed for Sept 12th and her's was signed for on the 13th (way to go usps)
My status updated this morning, the 25th, to manufacture pending
As of tonight my wife's status has not changed so I am hoping for it to be updated in the morning since it was received 1 day after mine
How long from manufacture pending until you receive the actual card does it normally take?

Re: September Apps
My wife and I sent our applications in September 6th via certified mail. We finally received the confirmation that the packets were signed for on September 13th. So I know that DPS has them in their position, now we wait.
On a side note, do y'all think that September applications will really be delayed by that much? The shorter classes just went into effect and considering the majority of people have to take a class on the weekend that means there has only been two opportunities presented. Additionally, for most people considering obtaining a CHL I do not think the previous class length was a huge deterrence. Especially when the classes were only shortened by a few hours. Maybe I am being naive, but I just can not see there being a huge rush of people going "OMG, the CHL class is shortened to 4 hours now, I can totally handle sitting there for that long!" However, maybe I am wrong. What are the opinions out there?
