Re: Police take Levelland Man's CHL - Improper sign
I am a member of [ a prepaid legal service ] and would have called them immediately. [ Moderator edit .] Unless you know of some service I am not aware, all the ones I have seen in Texas protect ONLY against "use of force" incidents, not LEO's ignorance of the law. Being an LEO is just li...

Re: joined parker county sportsman club today
The club management has made great strides in improvements this year and are to be commended for it. My wife and I went several times last year as guests and then both of us joined as members this January, great club and we appreciate it.

Re: August 2014
Hi, I am new to the forum, but have been reading many posts recently. I stumbled upon this site after I signed up for my CHL class. Figured I would join the fun and add my two cents to the August waiting discussion. The wife and I registered online 8/1, we took the class on 8/2, submitted our paper...

Re: July Applications
My daughter took her class on 7/19 and sent in the documents electronically on 7/22, same day she had her fingerprints taken. Received her CHL on 8/16, pretty prompt service!

Post Office in strip mall
I researched but didn't really find a good answer. What if the post office is in a strip mall? Or, like one down the street that shares it's office with a U-Haul business. It is a husband and wife team who fullfill both jobs. Can a weapon be left in my car in the parking lot when going into either o...

Alliance area Cinemark Theater in Fort Worth
We went to see the movie Escape Plan this afternoon and noticed a decal on their doors that simply said "Firearms not allowed". We pressed on inside. BTW, for the 2:00 afternoon showing we were the only ones in the theater. One of the perks of retirement!!

Re: The "Sneaky Pete" Holster
I have had mine for a few months and while it isn't my everyday carry holster (I have several different ones) I really like the Sneaky Pete the best. Practice drawing with it makes me more confident carrying with it. Who cares if it is rather large, no one can see what is in it.

No, ours were initial applications. I am very impressed with the DPS turnaround time.joshv53 wrote:Was everyone's a renewal that has already been mailed out?
