This is a flaw with unlicensed carry and federal law. To fix this issue you would have to go to the federal level and correct the problem there.Stripes Dude wrote:So what's the solve for federal statute that requires a CHl from the resident state to legally pass through a school zone? Are we supposed to ignore this?
Wish the powers that be who are involved in this constitutional carry fight would address this. They all seem to be missing this very important fact.
My neighborhood is surrounded by school zones. I won't be able to leave the house if I don't have a Chl even if constitutional carry passes.
This needs addressed or this is a moot law for many people...unless you're willing to drive around avoiding school zones.

Re: HB1911: Rep. White's Press Release
I suspect that would be a quick way to make the legislature reduce the size requirements so the signs would fit on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper in order to 'reduce the cost' to property owners/AJSully421 wrote:So, as part of this 30.08, can we change one word in 30.06 and 30.07 to make every sign in Texas unenforceable again? I kinda liked when they did it last time.
Let's just do that every session to screw with the insane anti-gunners.

Mods! Quick edit this post so that our opposition doesn't discover how to get Charles to support anti-gun legislation!

You are correct if what I was sent is accurate, which seems to be supported by the Press Release. The language used in what I was sent isFlightmare wrote:My interpretation is that 30.08 signs will be added to restrict unlicensed carry.
"Pursuant to Section 30.08, Penal Code (trespass by person not licensed to carry handgun), a person who does not hold a license to carry a handgun may not enter this property with a handgun"
