When I get pulled over these are my actions:

1) Car stopped with engine off
2) Interior light on if it's dark outside.
3) Window down.
4) Both hands on the steering wheel.
5) I don't reach for ANYTHING until instructed to by the officer.
6) When he asks for my ID, tell him "I'm a CHL holder and I'm in carry. The gun is located _____ and my wallet is _____. I'm going to get my wallet."

State your intentions in a clear voice there are no misunderstandings. Most of the time the cop will be cool. But if he decides to be a jerk, you're covered.
