I've gone full circle on my carry guns. Started off with a Glock 19 over twenty years ago. Then I transitioned to .40 S&W Glocks with a 22,23, and 27. Sold those and moved onto a few different 1911's adding a Glock 21 to the rotation a couple of years ago.
This year I took my first training class shooting over a thousand rounds over a couple of days. Caught the training bug and I realized that shooting .45 ACP isn't cheap. So I moved back to 9mm (I kept all of my .45's) and bought a used Gen 3 Glock 17 earlier in the year (sent it to Robar last month to have them do some magic to it) and picked up this Gen 4 "Summer Special" Glock 19 last Saturday.
Got lucky and found this one on Gun Broker locally for $519 with night sights and the extended slide release. Loving this thing so far and it's a bonus that I can just use the same holsters for it

They had the Vickers as well but they didn't last very long.carlson1 wrote:I noticed the last few weeks that Grabagun has had the grey frame Glock 19, but it was not a Vickers. It was a good price I thought at $525.00.Jose_in_Dallas wrote:Ya I love the grey framed Glocks as well. Wish I would have jumped on a Vickers Glock 19 when they first came out I'm sure I'm going to overpay for one when I find one local.

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry
Haven't updated my daily carry in this thread in a while. Been carrying a Grey Lipsey's Glock 21 since last summer, mostly in a Raven holster both IWB and OWB. I also use a Comp-Tac paddle holster around the house and when I go camping or fishing. With a good holster and belt, it's surprisingly comfortable to carry.

I have the same feature on my Streamlight TLR-1s and it is very disorienting. I can only imagine getting "hit" by that in the dark and not expecting it.AdamJ1555 wrote:The device also has a 100 lumen light that has a strobe option. It's very disorienting and bright. Another tactical advantage. :)

Thanks for the link! I'll have to check them out.bubba84 wrote:Jose_in_Dallas wrote:Thanks man. Received my Streamlight TLR-1 in the mail last weekend and ordered a Bravo Concealment RTT Holster (can't wait to get this but 6-8 week wait right now sucks). Gotta find a good non-flashlight holster for it next.nyj wrote:That's a beauty, Jose.
If you looking for a raven/bravo type holster and dont want the wait time, look at north texas custom kydex.
Ive got two of his holsters and he's working on a custom mag/light carrier for me now.
He does great work and the glock 23/tlr-2 holster I ordered on friday and picked up saturday. the commander holster I ordered on thursday and picked up the next saturday. it took that long to wait on the blue gun commander to get shipped to him for the mold.

That's the first green laser I've seen (although I've heard of them before). Any advantage to a green laser over red?AdamJ1555 wrote:G19 with a Veridian CL5 Green Laser

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry
What type of 1911 did you get?tdrollo wrote:Thanks! I love my little K-bar. For the price it's a nice little knife. It's easily concealed and lightweight. I forget I have it on. I like the LCR also, my husband has the 357 version. It's just a little heavier, but they are both so lightweight compared to the 1911. Which, incidentally I just picked up my first 1911 at the dealer today. Haven't even dry fired it yet!
Yes they are!Pecos wrote:THat LCR is an awesome gun!!!! Nice rig!
Picked up my first two holsters for the LCR a few weeks ago and really like them.
First I picked up another Comp-Tac holster, the 2 O'Clock. It's a kydex IWB holster that's carried at the 2 O'Clock position.
The second is a Mitch Rosen holster that I picked up slightly used for a killer price. Really like my first leather holster.

Thanks man.drjoker wrote:Sorry about your dad, man. But, nice guns!Jose_in_Dallas wrote:I inherited it back from him along with his guns when he past away about 2.5 years ago.
Nice setup. I'm loving my LCR and it's quickly become my EDC instead of one of my 1911's. I've picked up two holsters for it recently that I need to take pictures of. I'm starting to dig those K-Bar knives to.tdrollo wrote:Here is my EDC set up options, depending on what I am wearing. I am a teacher so, EDC for me is whenever I am not at work.
Ruger 38+P, 5 Star speed loader, Betty kydex holster, Ava kydex/leather holster, K-bar TDI with custom purple sheath or factory sheath. Not pictured I also have a Flashbang holster, Remora holster with ankle/thigh options, and Undertech concealed carry shorts.

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry
I'd suggest opening an account with PhotoBucket. You can upload the pictures there and even edit them if necessary. And when you view the pictures you have uploaded with them, they provide an easy option to the right of the picture to clip and copy the link to post on message boards such as this to easily share pictures. Hope that helps.M_Smith86 wrote:I have started carrying A Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm Compact in a CrossBreed Snapslide with Winchester Flat tip FMJ 115 Gr.
I would post a pic but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
