My post was in direct response to yours.Texas Sheepdog wrote:I agree but most cops are too busy dealing with law breakers to randomly pull over the law abiding for yucks.anygunanywhere wrote:Disarming law abiding CHLers is nothing to get your yucks over.
Laugh Out Loud. Your post shows you think this is humorous.Texas Sheepdog wrote: That's a good approach balancing officer safety with community concerns. Our policy says to disarm everyone. If the gun comes back clean and we can verify their credentials, they get the gun back unloaded, and they can reload after they leave the scene. If there's any questions, we can hold onto the gun until we sort things out. Sometimes we hold onto the suspect too, depending on the contact. LOL
Glad you can laugh about it. The law says we can be disarmed for safety, not just because someone makes it policy.Texas Sheepdog wrote: That's a good approach balancing officer safety with community concerns. I know you are not sure why your statement did not agree with me because your intent was not clear. The red text does not clearly identify who "those folks with a valid CHL" are referring to. It was cleared up in subsequent posts.E.Marquez wrote:Not sure how you came to that position and response.anygunanywhere wrote:You go right ahead and volunteer to have yours run for NCIC check. Do NOT run serial numbers (NCIC Check) of valid CHL holder's handguns. (PERIOD)

However if you are caught in the act of steeling property, have a CHL and gun on you.. I do want the officer to have the legal ability to run your gun though a NCIC check.
Not sure why that offends you.
Nor in any way did I speak for you or any other person.. May I suggest you calm down a bit and reread my post.. feel free to point out where I stated MY opinion was yours?
