I've been in 3 states that open carry and when i saw anyone carrying the onlt thought that passed my mind is "gee, wish we could do that in Texas" Otherewise i never gave it a second thought. The only time I had a second thought was when in a large grocery in Colorado and passed a lady I assumed was in her early 60's
' with a 1911 on her hip. Colorado did give me pause though. It is conservative enough to open carry and then be able to walk into a "legal" pot shop. Sort of a oxymoron. Really I never noticed it causing any any commotion anywhere and it's kind of neat to see what person carries what type gun. IMHO much ado about nothing
