Re: October Applications

Just to give my final stats for the room, I mailed in my paperwork on October 17, got my first status update at 79 days (January 3) and received the card in the mail on January 10, 86 days after mailing. Good luck to those who are still waiting, and to all my fellow sheep dogs, keep safe, and see you out there! :patriot: :txflag:

I sent in the photos and holder, and all the documentation needed on the checklist they give (the classroom affidavit, proficiency test, et al) via snail mail. I only did the initial fee payment and application online.

Re: October Applications

Hooray, my status has been updated, a mere 79 days after mailing! I applied online and then mailed in the documentation paperwork on October 17, so for those who have sent theirs in after that, I had literally no update in the status page for about 76 of those days, so be patient -- at this point, I almost joke that the waiting is part of the licensing process, to teach you a zen-like patience to deal with stressful concealed-carry situations ;-)

I still haven't gotten anything in the mail, so the wait continues, but at least I know my stuff wasn't lost on someone's desk or behind a post office sorting machine all this time.

Re: October Applications

Submitted my forms online in early October, and mailed the paperwork on October 17, and the DPS site still says "waiting for paperwork." :waiting: 48 days and counting.. I keep forgetting about the whole process for days at a time, and then something will remind me, I'll go check, and the status hasn't changed at all. Especially confusing when you see so many others getting 30 day turnaround times and less.. *sigh*
