Lone Star Medics Tac Med EDC

I took this 8 hour course by Lone Star Medics at KR Training near Lincoln, Texas on 12/9/17. Worth every penny! Course had a focus on active shooter situations, so trained on tourniquets, hemostatics, pressure bandages, chest seals, learned one and two man drags, and ran through multiple scenarios. ...

Re: Texas Training schools

I’ve taken several courses at KR Training, highly recommend them. The scenario courses are very good, thought provoking.

Re: Interesting story at the range today

Re: Insurance Check Points

I don't see a distinction between a sobriety checkpoint and an insurance checking roadblock. In both cases all cars have to be stopped without PC and the drivers checked for legality. There is a significant difference and the DWI checkpoint has been allowed by SCOTUS while Driver's license and insu...

Re: Insurance Check Points

What if a Border Patrol checkpoint wants to see ID? Do you show CHL? I have never had one ask to see, just had them ask for my citizenship. But I have seen people pulled over with their cars being searched. yes they are LEO so you are required to disclose It does not appear that federal leos meet t...

Re: My fear/observations

I was told several years ago that the reason employees carry the guns for you until you are outside is they don't want you committing suicide inside the store. Don't remember who told me this or whether it's the truth.

Who's to say he wouldn't have shot you both? Both choices involve risk and no guarantee you'll choose right.

Everyone on this topic appears rather calm. Am I the only one who was completely OUTRAGED upon hearing of this new law? Like all of you CHL holders, I paid my dues, $140 to the state and about $100 to take the safety course. I jumped through the rest of the hoops to obtain my CHL and now the state ...

Mars had a question about this the other night while we were watching the news. He questioned how it was that the black burglars had Spanish surnames and were from the Carribbean. Mainly, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico are a stones throw away from each other, and since Christopher Colombus disc...
