Glad to hear they are getting you taken care of & that they are putting in overtime to catch up to the backlog.texsanlaura wrote:Application & all required documents submitted: 10/17/13
After several calls to DPS, I broke down and finally called my state representative.
After a couple days waiting, I received a call Saturday from the CHL division.
After I explained my situation to him, he told me that a large number of applications submitted online were lost.
He said this was caused by an overwhelming amount of applications in September/October. Apparently their electronic mailbox was "full" and any applications that were received after it was full, were just lost.
He also said that the people answering the phones do not know this type of information, which explains why I kept getting the same response from them saying to give it more time.
Talk about frustrating.
After we spoke, I emailed my documents to him and by the next day, my status was changed to "print pending...".
So, if you have been waiting over 90 days, I would recommend contacting someone at the DPS and sending in your application again.

Yeah the first owner had her microchipped but then left her at the dog park. She was 6 months old at the time. The second owner couldn't keep her due to the apartments he lived in. Then went to a foster home, then the last owner couldn't keep her because she kept trying to catch their cat & kill it. She likes to chase squirrels & any other small animal that's not a dog.

Vicious Black Lab & Toy Papillon. Lol. Our Lab doesn't like new people coming around, she has I think abandonment issues due to her previous owners. She was left at a dog park about 3-4 months before we got her & has been through several families that ended up not being able to keep her.

Re: October Applications
Yep when I got home last night. Told all my neighbors as well so they are keeping a closer eye on things. I picked up 2 door stop alarms so if someone opens the door I won't be completely off guard if our dogs are dreaming heavily.LadyLightening wrote:TBJK wrote:Mine was printed & mailed on the 31st but the postmark said the 3rd is when it was mailed. Re: October Applications
As long as they are class c misdemeanors your fine. But if they are "A or B" & within the past 5 years then no CHL until the time has past, expunged or found not guilty. from what I remember.
