Ranger SXT is current production ammunition. Some say that SXT stands for Same eXact Thing, but politically correct.

It is excellent.

Now if you can locate some Federal HST in .45, let me know :grin:
Now that's funny. :lol: SXT = Same Exact Thing.

There were some HSTs at the market hall gun show. $34/box if I remember correctly. I would have picked some up but I was already tapped out. :cry:

I buy mine from this guy at the gun shows. Seems like I paid $25/box out the door last month at Market Hall.

I have several cases where I have shot large hogs with the 45ACP +P 230 grain Rangers. All performed very well with many resulting in one shot drop in their tracks including a 200# boar shot at about 12 yards. They expand well, have little to no muzzle flash and leave a nasty, nasty wound channel.

They are getting difficult to find but can easily be found at gun shows. You will also see a wide range of prices going from $25 per box up to $45 per box.
