Well guys, I went in to try it again and the spring assembly almost fell out in my hand. The bend in the tool was too long (as it came from Kimber) and wouldn't let the assembly come out. I appreciate all the help. Thank you Doug. The Ultra comes apart differently than those pictures, but I apprecia...

You should now be able to pull the recoil spring guide assembly out as one unit with the paper clip preventing parts from siding to the end of the rod. This is the part I'm can't get through my thick skull. How does it pull out with the paper clip (or tool) in the rod? I can't pull it to the rear o...

Kimber Ultra II Disassembly Problem

I hope someone with the same or similar pistol can help me. I bought a Kimber Tactical Ultra II a few weeks ago. I brought it home and was going to field strip and clean it before I took it to the range. I could never figure out how to get the barrel out of the slide to do a good cleaning job. After...

If you can physically move the safe to the second floor, then I think you'll be fine. As far as the seller moving it, my experience is if you don't want to set it yourself, they will give you some names of movers that will deliver and set it for you, for a fee. I bought a Sentry safe from Academy th...

I would let it go. A box of hollow points 20-30 bucks. It's not worth the trouble, choose your battles wisely. Rico

Thanks guys. Since seeing it I've read every review I could find and they are mostly positive. One even thought the outside extractor was a plus and an improvement over the internal. The looks of the extractor don't bother me any. So if they still have it next weekend, I may have myself my first 191...

Smith&Wesson 1911 Stainless Steel - Good Price?

I saw one yesterday used for $589. It had some holster wear but other than that seemed tight with a very smooth and light trigger. Barrel looked spotless also. All the safety mechanisms seemed to be working as they should. I been wanting a 1911 style pistol but I'm not sure yet about what is a good ...
