What timing! Yesterday (3/13) was my birthday, and guess what arrived in the mail

Multiple phone calls week of 2/24 and 3/3. Finally got someone that cared on 3/3.

There is no rhyme or reason.

I submitted on 1/2/14... last week after seeing so many people that submitted after me, were receiving already, I called. The woman I spoke to basically told me there was nothing she could do about it, and I just needed to wait and to call back if it hit 90 days .

Then Monday this week, I called again hoping I might get someone helpful. This time I got a very helpful person that told me my online submission was just in a big stack and there was no way to know when it would be gotten to. But since I was at 60 days in, she told me to email the forms to her directly and she would expedite it. And she did- today it has been moved to "Manufacturing Pending" status.

Wrong place to cry- I'm at 60 days, and still no change in status (and there's others like me in this thread)

Mine will be 60 days on Monday, status still says "awaiting materials". I called today and after holding for 25 minutes, finally got someone. All she would tell me was that they had my materials and was awaiting review, and that it typically takes 90 days for these to process... I wanted to call bull since there's so many here already receiving that were put in after mine. So I told her that I had a "friend" that had submitted 2 weeks after me, and he already had his back. She told me that was very unusual that he got it so fast because they are on a 90 day pace with all right now And told me to call back after 90 days if I still didn't have it

So I got nowhere.

Calling is such a crap shoot! I called again this morning and actually talked to someone that seemed to KNOW what he was talking about. He told me they did indeed have all the forms (so yesterday's comments about my missing CHL-100 was bogus) and he also said they were currently "keying" applications received during the Jan 1 - Jan 15 period. Which, if they don't do them in order but rather out of a common bucket, would kind of make sense why some are updating and others are not. Don't get me wrong, nothing about this process would survive in the commercial world ... but I did feel better when he told me they had everthing needed (small victory ... very small).

I tried to call today, and got a recording stating that due to the high volume of calls, no one was available to take my call, and then disconnected me So I used the online form and asked the question. Guess I'll give it a couple days- Monday will be 60 days. So I'll try again on Monday.

I sent my paperwork the first week of January- uploaded them all to the website and got the confirmation email. My status still says " waiting on the receipt of required materials ". So yeah, I think they got really lucky somehow with that fast of a turn around

This means they are actually confirming receipt of everything. I'll start checking the site periodically for status updates. I cannot wait...

I got that same email on 1/18, my original online submission was 1/2. So it took 16 days for them to send me that confirmation.

Well looky there. I just got that follow up email. Sonofa B- I could've sworn I uploaded the files the first time. Damn, my countdown clock just got reset

Oh well... since I'm new here I guess I should start my wait.

Just redid it, definitely did the upload. Instantly got the exact same email confirmation back. Guess I'll see if I get a follow up email next week.

I'm positive I did the upload. But I'll do it again and see if I get a different response

it is the only place on the website I have been able to find to upload forms.

The only email my wife and I received after uploading/emailing the documents was simply this "Thank you for contacting the Texas Department of Public Safety". Not exactly a confirmation they received the forms. But, it's only been about two weeks for me and four weeks for my wife.

I got the message you mentioned initially and then about another hour later I got the following:

"Thank you for using the Regulatory Services Division’s website.

We have received the documents attached to your email. This information will be forwarded to a CHL Specialist for review and processing. For more information on CHL status changes and updates visit http://www.DPS.Texas.gov" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or go to the Status Check link. Please allow staff sufficient time to continue processing these documents.

New here... I submitted my paperwork online. I got an automated response the next day, but it was not the same as the above response. The one above says "This information will be forwarded to a CHL Specialist for review", mine did not say that. Now I'm concerned that I uploaded to the wrong place on the website? Can someone provide me a link to the proper place to upload?
