Re: 1911 Model - What is a good one to start out with?

I have been shooting mainly 9mm but want to buy a 1911 model in 45 cal. to start out with. Last week I tried the Springfield Armory GI model which is inexpensive, but gets the job done. The top of the grip seems to bite my hand some but I can get through a 50 round box OK. I don't plan to use it mu...

Carry Question

I am planning on attending the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show at the Dallas Convention Center this weekend. It's been a while since I have been to the DCC. Does anyone out there know if they're still carry friendly or if they're 30.06?

I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on.
I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

Re: "compromise!!"

I have compromised. I own several Kimbers. My main carry piece used to be a Tactical Ultra II .45. My main carry piece now is an Ultra Aegis II 9mm. After hours of contemplative deliberations, soul searching and self-questioning, my reason for making the change to this caliber as an everyday carry b...

Don't sweat it. Glocks are fine weapons and can truly be depended upon. I would not consider giving mine up.

On the other hand, 1911's are proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

I'd vote for MY wife!!

My wife told me about this and asked what I thought. As we were having the discussion (in our den) she looked around and asked "where is the .45?" I had inadvertently left it in the bedroom. When I told her this she asked me what I would do if that front door came flying open right now... ...
