You are calling the ambulance hopefully for the other person but possibly you too if you are shot. If you are shot request two ambulances. Also you might need it for anxiety or something related to the shooting or a by stander. Better to get the wheels rollin and not need them than to need them and not have them. Also, should it go to court, which it will, calling an ambulance will show you didn't want them to die and you were just protecting your self, your property, or someone else's life/property.WildBill wrote:Are you calling the ambulance for yourself or the [hypothetical] person you have shot?tjcrosson wrote:I would not say that you had to shoot someone or something like that. Keep hands out of your pockets when LE arrive and do not be surprised if they detain you "for their safety" reholster your firearm but be prepared to use it again before LE get there in case the BG gets up or has some friends. Immediately after contact with the police invoke your right to remain silent and you would like to speak to your attorney before any further questioning and have your attorney present. In Texas you have the right to remain silent but you MUST invoke this right. Technically they have to stop asking you questions at this point. If EMS wants to treat or transport you, you should probably comply. Make no statements as far as what happens, you just shot someone and are not in a sound mind.
