plastic received on day 50 for measbandr wrote:I stalk the February thread (admit it, so do yall!) and a lot of people that have called we're told to give it 8 weeks, or 90 days then ended up getting an update sooner than that. I think it's what they say to try and get people not to call often. It seems to be taking the February people about 45 days with some exceptions so if I get nothing by 60 days, I'll call on it. Is call and confirm at 45 days that they have all my stuff though.

Re: March 2014 Applications
yeah it does no good to check site for updates several times a day because it appears that it updates between 6AM to 7AM and when mine updated the first time everything was completed and it said manufactured pendingeff_vee wrote:hi i am new to the forum. my packet was received at DPS on March 5, 2014 (i have stamped return receipt). the website says 'awaiting documents'.

I mailed my chl-100 with the receipt I got from fingerprintsowwo wrote:I think I might have jumped the gun, here's my sequence of events:
2/17 - took CHL class, passed shooting qualification, rec'd signed CHL-100 from instructor.
3/14 - went online to txapps.texas.gov and submitted application online; charged $142 for CHL app fee; registered for fingerprints via FAST and was charged $10.43
3/18 - mailed CHL-100 with Concealed Handgun Application Online Checklist via USPS.
3/24 - fingerprints scheduled to be taken
Did I mail-in my chl-100 too early?

Re: March 2014 Applications
hope you are right about six weeks because that would mean I should get plastic this weekJR Texas wrote:2/28/13 completed CHL training class
2/27/14 completed application online
3/10/14 submitted fingerprints
3/17/14 mailed CHL-100 and documents
3/19/14 tracking shows delivered
Now the wait begins. It took me 364 days from the date I completed the class to when I submitted my application. Waiting another 2 months should be easy. It looks like turn around times are averaging 6 weeks from the January and February "waiting room" threads.
