Might I suggest that a separate thread be started to pass along info on this so that it doesn't get lost in the middle of all of these pages?Charles L. Yes. I've been asked to hold do something I've never done before, but it sounds like a good idea. I've been planning to announce the new initiative this Tuesday, but the suggestion was to do it at a dinner event at a location that seats up to 200 people and record it. (This was brought up after I posted my invitation to have a debate/town hall meeting.) That way we can have the initiative explained and take questions from the floor. We can also talk about this legislative session. Then, all of this will be available on the Internet.
If there's enough interest, I'll put it together. However it is announced, I really excited about the new initiative and the difference it can make in grassroots activism. Hopefully Texans all over the State will share my enthusiasm.
Chas.

Darn, stepped away for dinner and miss the finale! Well done for all the hard work put in by everyone and anyone! It will be two years of no open carry for me by the time this kicks in and I am so looking forward to not worrying if something is showing or needs to be moved around! ![Hurry :hurry:](./images/smilies/hurray.gif)

Thanks!
Discussion & debate? I thought this was just an up/down vote to accept the committee report?

Send it to conference and oh, we need some breathing room to see how it goes, you know, for us to get open carrying "out of our systems."

Yes, this needs to stay in because there is clearly misunderstanding by some police. Yes. Yes. Yes.
