Re: Expiring in Committee
IMHO we have consensus and find widespread support for the old adage "when the Texas Legislature is in session no one is safe".

We all need to share this in other social media in hopes our elected officials will see it has the public's attention.

Many thanks Charles for the time you give to the cause and to our community. I assure you I will send friends the link to your work and sure many others here will do the same. We have to push the info beyond our group so as many as possible can make informed decisions. God bless you.

Re: Questions for OCT
At this point I submit that the OCT folks are about as transparent as the Obama regime and are enjoying our efforts to try and discuss this. As they like that SOP--same as the non-transparent liberals--then that is it how they will be known. It is well known that those on the far extremes are closer...

Re: Ideal Hornady ammunition for S&W M&P Shield?
The "Duty" is slower because it's heavier, but heavier will penetrate deeply. What aspect of the load is heavier? The bullets are the same: 115 gn Duty vs. the 115 gn Defense. I would expect that the Defense, going faster, would expand more. Thanks for the insight that the bullets look th...

Re: Ideal Hornady ammunition for S&W M&P Shield?
I have a Shield 9mm and bought the Critical Duty 115 gn. Did not know there was a Critical Defense and now wonder why they sell both when the Duty is slower. I read the pages at Hornady's site but do not see the reason why the Duty would ever be chosen over the Defense round. What am I missing?

Re: IWB Leather for S&W M&P SHIELD?
I have a 9mm Shield and use a Bianchi you can see here http://goo.gl/wTjJoj . I like it as it: is leather; holds the pistol securely; has the large secure clip that lets me slip in on for a quick run to the hardware store and off again once home; well made and reasonably priced. I wear it at 2:00 (k...

Re: Questions for OCT
Few "issues" for Constitutional Carry in Texas. 1) Texas is border state and major running corridor for drug trafficking. 2) Too many illegal residents. 3) Too many felons out of jail 4) Too many white, black, and latino gangs. If you let those carry concealed or unconcealed with no ID or...

Re: Questions for OCT
Thanks for the three points that describe the position of NRA/TSRA. What is the basic parameters of "constitutional carry" and why is it the ultimate goal? Likely when I know what it means the value will be obvious. Why is OC in a 30.06 area a step backward for us CHL's. Sorry if those ans...

Re: Question for OCT
Charles: I fully agree. From my perspective if a recognized OC spokesperson states a clear platform then I can decide if I support them. If they do nothing to clarify the confusing messages todate then they must have something to hide and that is not the kind of effort/cause I will support. The vari...

Thanks for the well written review and support. I bought it and hopefully your pitch will get my wife and daughter to read it. If they do then I want to talk about your writing something about other books I bought for them and have not been opened.

Dangerous Dogs and Use of Deadly Force
I worry a lot about dangerous dogs in relation to my daughter and grand daughters walking in the neighborhood. Bought her a high quality pepper spray but she seldom if ever remembers to carry it. Today a very interesting article arrived from USA Open Carry about Dangerous Dogs and Deadly Force. Here...

Re: Chicago Community Activists turn on Democrat Party
Jay: I share your dream and believe you have hit on a very big opportunity; i.e. the common belief in the right to own a gun. We need to celebrate the ways we are the same as they far out weigh the differences. The right to defend our family and our self is one of those ways. Perhaps Charles could w...
