Re: When should I get notification

Weirdly, I have not received an email from the state. Got the paper notification. Started to do all my stuff but talked to a buddy who said he'd received an email saying the paper info was incorrect?

Another instructor cycle and another glitchy roll out.

Re: Winchester/NRA Marksmanship - challenging you!

Received my official "Triple Distinguished Expert" certificate in the mail today. Tried to post, but not working. The award is for Tactical Rifle, Rimfire Rifle, and America's Rifle Challenge. Think I may do another revolver course next. Congratulations! What number were you? I'm curious ...

Re: Sig P320 un-commanded discharges

Try it either of these ways. The current book way to do it is as follows: Take trigger bar in hand, unattached to FCU, and connect the end of the spring. Now attached the hook end to the frame and rotate the trigger bar into position. Attached trigger and proceed on. I'm not sure anybody actually do...

Re: Sig P320 un-commanded discharges

One of the issues I have seen with my 320s if I fully disassemble them is that it is damn near impossible to reassemble it with damaging the trigger return spring and causing a light trigger return...I always have to take a pair of needle nose pliers and re-bend the trigger return spring to get sat...

Re: Sig P320 un-commanded discharges

I had the same thoughts as you on the competition shooter. So you say the gun when off when you were re-holstering? Hmmm, didn't see any zebras out here on the range with us. As to the various LEO incidents, excluding the already litigated pre 2018 drop issue, nobody ever wants to admit they were fi...

Re: Winchester/NRA Marksmanship - challenging you!

After such a long time contemplating the Tactical Rifle course, I finally did it. Since the minimum round count is almost 450, I decided to save myself a pile of money an shoot it will a .22LR AR-15. Shot it clean through except one stage that I accidentally ran standing, before re-shooting kneelin...

We're getting e-stamps back in the 65 to 75 day range. Paper is really rough, lot of 12+ month waits.

Re: Question about Threadlocking compounds

I had a Williams 5D Peep sight installed and received no instruction on making the W&E adjustments, so I called Williams directly. Very nice people and very helpful. The gentleman I spoke with recommended using a thread locker called Vibra-Tite VC3. Have any of you used it? In reading about Vib...

Re: Sig MCX Virtus

My MCX SBR is my primary. Not an inexpensive system to get into but it's rock solid. Word of caution when you have your barrel out. The #1 way people break their barrel clamps is that they don't notice the dust cover pin has moved forward and tighten the clamp over the end of the pin. That pin is ca...

Re: NM: Prop gun in Alec Baldwin movie kills one injures one

Understandable urge to pile on Baldwin given his history, but my heart goes out to him and the crew members injured and killed. What a terrible thing. The prop master is going to have a lot to answer for.

Re: SIG P365 SAS

One of the more interesting guns Sig has produced. I got to see them being made and handle one before they were public. I see them as an option for deep concealment, undercover work, point shooting - get off me gun, etc. You're not doing any target shooting with them. They're also great as a teachin...
