A private pilot friend of mine sent me a message a couple of hours ago saying Fox News had a report that debunked the Washington Times editorial, but I wasn't able to find it until you posted. I couldn't find any substantiated reports from anywhere else, just repeated copies of the original editorial. Makes me think maybe someone was just trying to stir up the gun rights folks, sucker us all in and make us look foolish.

We'll see what else my trusty google news alerts pulls in over the next couple of days. I might still end up writing an article about the true motives of the source.

Okay, I've just found my next subject for an Associated Content article. If anyone knows a pilot who has this option or has a pending application for it who would be willing to talk to me as an unnamed source, I would love to interview them.

Any other pointers to facts about this would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to base the article just on someone else's editorial, so I'm going to take a few days to research before publication. Please send additional FACTUAL info or tips to tim@4fraziers.com or PM me on this board.
