Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
Snip.... I would like to see CC expanded to cover everywhere an LTC can currently carry, and LTC expanded to cover every location that would have been allowed by HB 560. I would also like to see the de-criminalization of 30.06 signs for LTC holders. This right here. Although it will never happen. T...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
I don't want to come across as a Negative Nellie, but when you have a legislature that finds it more important to pass a bill about hunting hogs from balloons than a bill that actually makes sense you have to wonder what is wrong with them. I have no doubt that should a bill be introduced next sessi...

Re: Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX 36) thinks he's better than you
Snip.... get something passed now which can be a stepping stone to reciprocity for all.....Snip Yeah, hmmm, nope. This is kind of like in Texas. "Maybe in 2 years...." Congress treats themselves as a special class all of the time. A prime example is the Affordable Care Act. They foist it ...

Anyone surprised? Did they say anything about a make up day for pictures with Tony Romo in case any of the "busy" lawmakers missed the first one?locke_n_load wrote:Just listened to the governor's address for the special session. Re: United Blood Services 30.06 sign need your opinion
Like most places, their reason is total bull. I stopped donating at Carter after I got my LTC because of the signs.
They are in it for the money.

Re: Did we get shut out this year
If you listen closely you can here the plaintive sound of the LTC. "Maybe in 2 years. Maybe in 2 years." You can hear it every 2 years for some reason.powerboatr wrote:wow...2 more years and not much was done.

Re: I have a dim view of the future for humanity
I lost my faith in humanity and other things a long time ago. This is a prime example of society falling apart and unfortunately stupidity, ignorance, hate, you name it is winning hands down.

Re: Did we get shut out this year
I agree. This wasn't a Superbowl year, and SB16 is a low impact win tactically. Strategically, however, I think it is big. 2 years, 4 years from now the number of LTC holders could make a big difference in a HB560 type bill's chances. And other big win bills. They ignored over 1 million LTC holders...

Re: What is status Restoration of Gun Rights in Austin?
..... Lowering the LTC fee to $40 was important and necessary. Lowering the fee was neither important or necessary. There were much more important and necessary things than giving everyone a discount. If someone wants a discount maybe the state should put something on Groupon.com. I fear that we ha...

I think the "NRA" rating for the so called pro 2nd amendment legislators should be changed to an F. Now they'll pee on our backs and tell us it's raining.

Re: Sb1588 to eliminate most vehicle inspections
Since Texas went to the single sticker system, no inspection = no registration sticker. The system eliminated the fake sticker problem. Even so, there are a lot of cars that couldn't possibly have passed a safety inspection on the streets.
